Kenge AgAI AI System

Nkuluntu AgAI Corp, in collaboration with our partners, is dedicated to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology to improve the life of people living in remote villages.  Starting in the Democratic Republic of Congo we aim to complete the proposed Kenge AgAI Project within five years.

Project Ag AI System

We are in discussions with various collaboration partners about various options for the Kenge AgAI Project and see how we can best serve the people in Rural Congolese communities.

The Kenge AgAI Project is a proposed, transformative, 5-year project that will roll-out to 140 cooperatives each leasing a 310 acre site in one of 35 rural communities in the Kenge district of DRC.

The Project aims to generate:
• Over $84,000,000 USD annually in direct economic activity
• $39,000,000 in annual wages.
• Establish 140 Farmer Cooperatives using AI, AgTech, and modern irrigation.
• Employ 14,000 people as member/owners in Farmers’ cooperatives
• Employ an additional 5,000 people in entrepreneurial ventures
• Provide 175,000 people with potable water
• Electrify 21,000 households at 10 kWh/day supply
• Empower as many as 1,000 entrepreneurs with AI based tools in value added Agri-Businesses.
• Provides community benefits in 16 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals

Transformative Socio-Economic Growth
Improvements to Agriculture and Agri-Business using AgTech and AI can transform rural Congo.  During the rainy season, Congo has some of the most productive lands on Earth, with Net Primary Production in excess of 6 gram Carbon fixed per square meter per day.  In university research stations using AgTech and best practices, Cassava yield exceeds 40 Tonnes/ha with yields of 80 T/ha reached under ideal conditions.   Typical rural production in Kenge is more in the range of 2-4 T/ha, showing the capacity for transformative production increases.

Our AI systems include:
• AgAI systems teach farmers how to grow new crops like cabbage and bamboo.
• Entrepreneurs Toolkit AI teaches farmers and entrepreneurs how create value-added products like making kimchi from cabbage as well as paper and chopsticks from bamboo.
• Trade & Transparency AI to help foster exports, increase transparency, and reduce corruption
• Prompt Sensei AI, an educational AI system to help people better use AI, develop task-based learning and problem skills, and how to ask better questions in general.

Possible Path Forward: a Public-Private Partnership.

We are in talks to form a Public-Private Partnership to develop the Kenge AgAI Project.
Our model fits The World Bank Group produced a Directions in Development report in 2017 that looked at the Urbanization Trend in the DRC; “Democratic Republic of Congo Urbanization Review:  Productive and Inclusive Cities for an Emerging Democratic Republic of Congo.”[1]    The Kenge AgAI project should slow down the urbanization rate as people can achieve socio-economic prosperity in their community rather than seek employment opportunity in the Kinshasa.

Rural improvement via the Kenge AgAI Project also increases food security and socio-economic stability across the country.   This forms the basis of numerous economic and agricultural innovations for climate crisis mitigations and adaptations.
